Turks and Caicos Islands National Museum in Cockburn Town

Posted 1 year ago by avatar donny in response to adonis's question: I am travelling to Cockburn Town and I am interested in visiting some of its museums. (give a different answer) .

The Turks and Caicos Islands National Museum, beatiful renovated Guinep Lodge, displays on the ground floor an exhibition of the early 16th century wreck of a Spanish caraver found on the Molasses Reef between West Caicos and French Cay. Upstairs I've seen an exhibition of local artefacts, photos, stamps, coins, a few Tino beads, some figures and potsherds. The visit cost me about 5 $, its open mainly from 9 am to 4 pm, tel 9462160.
